Monochrome gives us the latest on Bell&Ross bell, which is expected to be brand’s skeleton weight fighter (in the reverse sense, as in the watch world, skeletons are close to the top of craftsman pyramid. Any brand releasing a skeleton model is out there to prove something)

The design is attractive but somewhat tricky, as in today’s watch world only the educated eye could differentiate between a true skeleton model and a Seven Friday/ Dietrich kind of watch (with all due respect to the latter mentioned brands, they do cater to a different category)

Coming back to the particular watch, this could be the candidate if only I was to spend my hard earned money on a Bell and Ross (which is unlikely), but even this, is not the point. Quoting from Monochrome This new Bell & Ross relies on a movement created especially by Dubois-Depraz, a skeletonized chronograph module visible through the sapphire dial. The base movement is not specified – an ETA movement or an ETA-clone (Sellita or Soprod) is more than possible. ” Now, this is a 15,000 EUR threshold watch and with that kind of money I get to buy a DD modified ETA or not even that?? That my friends, is my real concern in this crazy world, ever getting crazier as the supply gets more and more limited from ETA. Now, I can appreciate the beauty of the skeleton movement (as seen above), but if I have a slightest sense of who I am, I would have sleep disorders (and even nightmares) with the occasionally resurrecting though that I have just sunken 15k EURs on a Sellita.

There will probably be a deadline by which Sellita (and other mass movement suppliers) shall step up their game and earn more reputation for their name but that is a long hard road, with a lot of blood, sweat and tears. I am also not disregarding the fact that many of individual brands are working day and night on their in house calibers before the day of reckoning arrives. But I also think we need to work hard on ourselves (and see some promises delivered) to break the prejudice against non-ETA or non-big brand in house movements.

Just read this so called "interview" with HYT CEO Vincent Perriard, which actually contains little to no information , except the statement “ We have now about 40 POS around the globe. The brand is working well everywhere but intensively in the USA, Turkey, Brazil, Hong Kong and soon Singapore (we are opening our Asia subsidiary there in about 2 weeks).”
Found it quite interesting that, HYT has carved a niche in the Turkish market, and pretty much appreciate that. I am hoping to come across an HYT fan soon

@BreitlingNews Chronomat 44 Raven, ladies and gents (mostly gents of course) Without any sugarcoating I tell you this much: I am impressed by the matt black/ orange accents duo, and Breitling is impressing these days with in house caliber anyhow. Although this is not what I am looking into any longer (inclined towards vintage, where Breitling is just as impressive) this looks like an option if you lead a casual lifestyle and willing to make a statement.

Here is the tech data

Bar Refaeli, seen here in all Piaget mode, has been announced to be Hublot’s first female brand ambassador. So be prepared for somewhat more female market targeting commercials and ads from Hublot, or just the opposite for men, featuring Ms Refaeli with nothing but undies and a King Power on.  High-res

It took very little time for me to understand that Hublot Fenerbahce deal is not exclusive and Turkish football rivalry is being used as a cash cow. Here, you see the Hublot Galatasaray watch, a day after Fenerbahce King Power was launched. I am seriously praying that there will not be a Hublot Besiktas watch, as without Besiktas King Power issued to our club, we are the true exclusivity holders at this stage.
With two clubs launched, this thing is already overdone in Turkey, To my recollection there has not been two football club collaboration watches from the same country. The previous FC watches by Hublot are Bayern Munich, Ajax, PSG, Porto and Manchester Utd. (not counting the NBA and NFL franchises)
